2017-09-16 Gilmore Trip

6 Oakleaf members in 3 Model A's drove 240+ miles round trip to the Gilmore Car Museum for the September 16  Model A Ford Day festivities.  Additionally, 2 other members made the trek separately in their modern iron.  The trip was complimented by a smattering of early fall colors and delightful late summer weather.  There were approximately 100 Model A's in attendance.  The group driving the 3 Model A's continued from the Gilmore Museum to Charlotte for dinner and overnight lodging and then journeyed home on Sunday making requisite stops for apples, corn, and a mid-day meal at the Highland House.  (Submitted by Bill Sturgeon)
