2016-06-30 Vets & History

Club members driving 4 Model A's met at the Burger King in Lake Orion and then drove a short distance to visit the Veterans Memorial in Lake Orion.  There we were met by 2 veterans eager to explain the significance of the memorial and the local efforts to support it.

The group then drove a short distance to lunch where we were joined by more club members also driving their Model A, for a total of 5 Model A's and 10 people on the tour.

Following lunch, club members proceeded to the Oxford American Legion hall where we were treated to a guided tour of the museum-like display of military uniforms and other artifacts from the Revolutionary War through Desert Storm.  Thank you Nellie for arranging this highly informative tour.
